Ray Strong, Press Coordinator for the Edward Gonzalez for Congress Campaign, has been a member of the Libertarian Party (http://lp.org ) since 1972, shortly after its founding. He and his wife Gloria moved to San Jose in 1976. Their daughter Alissa was born in 1980, the same year that he ran for Congress as a Libertarian. He has been active in local politics, running for California Assembly, chairing the Libertarian Party of Santa Clara County, and serving on the board of the Almaden Valley Community Association.

 

Ray joined the Gonzalez Congressional Campaign after reading the downloadable pamphlet, A Model for Government.  He was convinced that support for the Gonzalez campaign represents the most effective way to retire career politician, Rep. Zoe Lofgren.  He believes the United States is struggling with a divided system. Those who support individual liberty and responsibility are contending with those who support the tyranny of welfare statism and rule by elites over the masses. He believes that the most effective way to turn the tide of tyranny is to remove elected officials who vote consistently in favor of the federal banking systems, centralized government and more taxes, starting with incumbent Representative Zoe Lofgren.
