Stimulate the Economy by Lowering Minimum Wage

With total unemployment (U-6) at 17.5% measured by the Bureau of Labor Statistics [1]  there are currently many demands for government to stimulate the economy and create jobs.  I am against most of the public works proposals made by many politicians as they are not real or productive.  They are simply “busy work” funded by tax payers which do not add anything valuable to society or the economy.  I hold the firm belief that any stimulus the government gives to the economy should be sustainable in the long term.

Since the beginning of my congressional campaign, I have received many questions regarding the libertarian philosophy, as well as how a libertarian America would look and function.  Many pepper me with immediate questions of drug dealers outside their door and child exploitation.  I think that many of these worries are unfounded and I hope to explain this here in a simple and concise way.

Vacationing an Unalienable Right?

Yes, that's right.  Some people over in the European Union have decided that a vacation is a human right that should be subsidized with tax money.



The European Union has declared travelling a human right, and is launching a scheme to subsidize vacations with taxpayers' dollars for those too poor to afford their own trips.


Antonio Tajani, the European Union commissioner for enterprise and industry, proposed a strategy that could cost European taxpayers hundreds of millions of euros a year, The Times of London reports.
